Construction of a Masterpiece Series Replica

Each brass bar is hand cut, bent, and soldered into place with a tolerance of only .005" (Five thousandths of an inch).

Parts that aren't soldered are either affixed with tiny screws and nuts, or with high strength epoxy. Durability and strength are key design elements of a Masterpiece Series Replica.

The chassis alone is made up of over 150 parts.
Each of the 5 working shocks is made up of 8 parts.
Over 100 individual pieces makeup the body, roof, and deck of the car.
Over 100 individual parts in the front suspension.
With motor, wires, hoses, and other pieces the final part count is approximately 1000.

Each part is given two coats of high quality automotive etching primer, and painted with automotive urethane laquors for a durable, long-lasting finish.

Masterpiece Series cars are built to be heirlooms, passed down through the generations with pride.

Why Brass?

No material is better suited for creating mechanically accurate miniatures of complex equipment or structures than brass. The ability to cast, etch, machine, solder, and form brass at any scale allows us to create models that approach being part-for-part recreations of the actual machine. As there is no substitute for the attention to detail required to assemble the hundreds of individual pieces typically used to create museum quality products such as these, the labor intensive nature of hand crafting precision scale brass models limits the number that can be reasonably produced.
